    G&G 187 – “Resistance is Futile!” It’s time to tackle one of the most fondly discussed Trek movies and engage the borg! “Arthur_Dent_6x7” naturally returns to give initial thoughts and impressions of Strange New Worlds and E_HUFFY goes an entire episode without bashing “New Trek.” We assimilate all avenues of the film; the Borg Queen and how many of her there are, Lily being the best character, memorable lines, influence on video games, a hilarious tale of E_HUFFY running into Ethan Phillips (Neelix/Maiter d’) in an elevator, and so much more. Hurry and download this episode because this is no time to argue about time, we don’t have the time!

    G&G 184 – “Two captains. One destiny.” We’ve reached the next phase of our Star Trek film retrospective series and it’s time to chat all things Picard and crew! “Arthur_Dent_6x7” naturally returns to give initial thoughts and impressions of Picard season 2 before taking a deep dive into the movie. 8 year old E_HUFFY saw the film in theaters so we get some insight as events unfold, discuss the (earned) use of swearing, favorite moments, ship battles, model work vs. CGI, bridge on the captain, and take on so called “film critics” and solidify their irrelevance! There’s no time to waste in downloading this episode because time is the fire in which we burn!

    G&G 181 – “The battle for peace has begun!” It’s a fatal four-way episode only the size of our heads as “faceoffoley3” and “Arthur_Dent_6x7” collide with E_HUFFY and “thepoorassgamer” to discuss the final movie in the original series saga! Let’s take a casual drive down the plot and discuss our fondest memories of this movie, the good, the bad, the point of no return when watching, directors cuts, whodunnit, and more. Then to wrap it up, the gents give their ranking of the first six Trek films. It’s been an amazing journey but we still have a long way to go. You haven’t experienced Games and Gimmicks until you’ve read it in the original Klingon!

All avenues are covered and it’s a two on one handicap match affair with E_HUFFY making the case for why this movie is not as bad as many say. More great insights from the Trek experts and non-expert make for a riveting conversation that ends with a random but marvelous video game fight between the gents.     G&G 177 – “Stardate: 1986. How on earth can they save the future?” E_HUFFY is joined once again by “thepoorassgamer” and “Arthur_Dent_6x7” to talk about the next Trek movie in our retrospective; the one with the whales! We chat up the comedy, watching in 2021 vs. 1986, the appeal to all audiences, and so much more! We also try to keep the comparisons to “New Trek” at a minimum, but sometimes it’s just too hard to resist. This is another first time viewing for “thepoorassgamer” so you are in for more fantastic insight from the non-trekkie of the group.
